According to state records, greyhounds routinely suffer serious injuries in West Virginia. Since 2015 there were 5,716 greyhound injuries reported at West Virginia dog tracks. More than 1,800 dogs suffered broken bones during this period, and over 100 greyhounds died after suffering serious injuries.1
